Tram to Croydon, train to Gatwick, plane to Alicante, bus to Puerta del Mar and then a tram to La Isleta!

The rain in Spain stays mainly..........in Alicante. The wettest September for over a century and we got caught in it-fortunately October dawned with sunny skies.

Part two of a day out in Yorkshire in on April 4th 2009, Leeds is where the sun began to shine after the day started grey and wet in Portsmouth and I was pleased to see plenty of HST action due to engineering work between Doncaster and York.

Arriving in Feltham at lunchtime we headed to the park to get some departure shots from 09R and then headed for the Rennaissance Hotel.

An open day in the down yard at Woking on May 28th 1988 to celebrate the 150th anniversary of railways in Woking.

Just a few minutes after I finished work 70013 worked through Fratton heading to Portsmouth Harbour, an hour later I was heading out for a wedding photography shoot and I noticed the empty stock running back to Fratton so I followed it down Canal Walk and over Fratton Bridge to grab some 'Full Sun' shots before jumping on 1P46 to do some commercial work. Purely by conicidence my return from Havant coincided with the departure of 1Z83 back to Victoria so I grabbed a few more shots before heading home at last.

A couple of visits to Reading on July 20th and July 21st for legal purposes brought a few shots while waiting for trains in Gulidford and Reading. Hopefully we'll be making plenty of trips to Reading over the next few months.

A short visit to LHR in the afternoon of May 18th 2006 following the arrival of the first A380 flight.

A spin out to Reading on the last day of the 458s (version 1), then some shots around london finishing up with the DRS flasks at Kensington.

A quick chase of 47145 and 47355 on the Serco test train on the Shepperton branch, back to Kingston and then through Strawberry Hill.

A very quick spin down to Southampton on June 16th 2006 and a stop at Weybridge on the way back from Alton on June 13th 2006.

A short spell at Carpenders Park on a cloudy afternoon in June 2009. My only available afternoon of the week was the only cloudy one, although amid the odd brief shower the sun tried to break through just enough for about half a dozen semi-decent shots, everything else was ISO200 and open that aperture as wide as possible to maximise the shutter speed on the high speed Pendolinos as they whizzed through.

A trip down to Southampton brought plenty of freight, some good liveries and lots of sunny weather.

A short spell at Bedfont near Feltham in the sun in June 2006.

A few shots on a boiling hot day when I headed down to Trumps Mill Bridge to get the 'Blue Pullman', ended up with quite a few 'Blue' Desiros too!
